 COOBER PEDY - OPAL CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

A new addition to our most popular Lake Eyre tour takes in the world renown Opal Fields of Coober Pedy, located in the far north of South Australia. 

We spend a night at Radeka's Underground Motel, tour the Town, Opal Fields and the Breakaways, a spectacular geological formation to the North of the town. Noodling for Opals and a visit to Crocodile Harry's Mine is also a part of the tour.  Dinner is at Tom & Mary's Greek Taverna.

 

The Coober Pedy excursion is scheduled between our Birdsville and Innamincka stops, and the flight features an aerial tour of "The Painted Desert" to the northwest of Coober Pedy and the "Painted Hills" on Anna Creek Station; .

(Note that this is an extension of our Birdsville, Coongie Lakes, Lake Eyre and the Channel Country Tour, and cannot be taken separately)

Additional Cost per person: $580 (incl GST)

Based on a Group of 4 people.

Includes: All meals, accommodation, transfers from Charleville, and tour fees.
